E scooter exercise bike

It doesn't seem to be the most efficient piece of design. But I don't see why the police should bother about it, given that it's highly unlikely to achieve hich speed.

Well that is a new combination - I've heard of exercise machines being turned into "cycles" [1] [2] and cycles being motorised, but not e-whatevers being foot-erised (de-automated?)

Is this to give the appearance of "it's just a legal bike, honest?" or to get extra exercise by converting to and from electric power?

I would imagine just to be able to sit down, if they wanted to pedal they could just get a bike?

Welded on, according to the article. But squinting at the picture makes me think that 'plonked' would be the correct verb.

Next up: exercise bike on e-scooter attached to a couple of dogs on long leads. When the battery runs out, the dog team can take over

But I've seen scooters with seats about - why not just get one?  Looking online "illegal no barrier" as usual...
